Why: Va-va-voom. That’s what we think of looking at Cate Blanchett and her figure-skimming, can’t-miss asymmetric dress by Mary Katrantzou. Consistently ruling the red-carpet style, the chair of this year’s Cannes jury stunned at the screening of Cold War in a blue floral, high-low gown embroidered, with sequins, Swarovski crystals and bugle beads. Named the best look of the festival by fashion critics, Cate once again proved she was not just a queen of the jury, but also reigned on the red carpet in some of the finest creations top designers have to offer. The Carol actress finished off the dramatic look with Chopard butterfly rings and Aquazzura metallic pumps. This look’s a red-hot winner in our book. Fun fact: The gown was so voluminous that it had to be driven down to the French Riviera from London in a special van.
Beauty Look: We don’t know which we love more: Cate’s dramatic dress or her millennial pink cheeks and creamy rose lip combo. The queen of monochromatic makeup opted for a nude, sophisticated look that tops every best of beauty list. And can we talk about that elegant hairdo?
