Ace Italian fashion designer and creative director of Gucci, Alessandro Michele showcased his latest collection in Arles, France.
The show was held at Alyscamps, a Roman cemetery. As the guests sat down on mirrored cubes, the show started as a line of fire ignited down the central alleyway. Models walked on the runway in outfits that were designed for fantasy characters ranging from rock stars to 19th century widows. Think plaid skirts, tiger patterns and floral silk prints were some of the signature designs. Some models were seen in velvet dresses with heavily embroidered capes. The outfits were accessorised with platform sneakers and feather boas. One of the highlights of the show was the finale outfit, which almost looked like a ghost-like gown. It was a high-collard Victorian style ensemble, which was accessorised with a weighty cross pendant.
