Serena Williams’s first Wimbledon victory after becoming a mother

Serena Williams is back to Wimbledon, just months after winning her first grand slam match and giving birth to her daughter Alexis Olympia.

The tennis star won her first Wimbledon against Arantxa Rus of the Netherlands, with a final score of 7-5 6-3.

For the second round she will be facing the Czech Republic Tereza Smitkova or Viktoriya Tomova of Bulgaria.

When the 23 times Grand Slam champion had returned to the French Open in May, she was recovery from pregnancy. Serena has suffered from a pulmonary embolism and a hematoma after giving birth to her daughter, and since then she has been supportive for the mother and babies in need.
