After her Masterclass at London, she decided to go out and explore the city. She visited many of the famous tourist attractions, including the London Eye, Big Ben, and the Tower of London. “I would recommend a complete tour of London at night,” she says, adding that she couldn’t stop staring at the River Thames, as the lights reflected off the rippling surface. “It looks magical!” Her favourite part about London, however, was her trip to Harrods, the luxury department store on Brompton Road in Knightsbridge. This true shopaholic had the time of her life in the store, with its 330 different departments that offer everything from clothes to jewellery and furniture. Another place that awakened the shopping freak in her was Bicester Village, close to London.

Aamna then travelled to Manchester, where they took a walk among the restored Victorian houses along the old canals in the scenic urban heritage park, Castlefield. They then visited the impressive architectural beauty, the Manchester Cathedral, which stands tall on the banks of the Irwell. The imposing facade of the neo-Gothic Manchester Town Hall was next on their itinerary. Last but not in any way the least, was her visit to the intu Trafford Centre Mall in Greater Manchester, of which she says, “It’s absolutely lovely and I’d recommend it to anyone who loves to shop!” She was enthralled by the innumerable stores in the mall, where the vast variety of things to buy left her confounded but happy all the same!

As she moved on to Stoke-on-Trent, she visited the Potteries Museum & Art Gallery to see exactly what the city is famous for. Of course, she wasn’t the least disappointed by the creative and artful pieces she encountered there. After exploring the city a little more, she travelled to Birmingham where she was mesmerised by Cadbury World with its fascinating exhibits of the one thing that everyone around the world of all ages can’t help but love – chocolate!

“In addition to meeting Mario, I will never forget the experience of running down London Bridge, with the cold wind hitting my face as my hair blew out behind me. I almost felt like a heroine out of a Bollywood movie,” Aamna recalls. “The funny part of the story is that I had to do that because we had parked our car on the wrong side of the road!”
Aamna strongly recommends that everyone must go for a UK trip at some point or other in their lives. “Its unique beauty makes you want to stop and click a picture literally everywhere!”  – as told to Tanya
