An unknown scholar once said, “Every man needs a woman when his life is a mess, because just like the game of chess, the queen protects the king.”
Women have come a long way from the days when all they were made to do was make a family and run the house. And while there’s still a lot to be done to bring them on par with men, many women across the globe have found success in various fields. With Women’s Day around the corner, we take the opportunity to look back at some women from the country who have achieved success and reached great heights. Take a look at our Feature Story to know who made it to this year’s list.
Legendary actress Sridevi Kapoor has been in the film and television industry for almost five decades, and during this period she won everyone’s hearts with her drop dead gorgeous looks, charismatic smile, groovy moves, and unmatchable acting talent. Remember her role in ChaalBaaz and her moves in ‘Hawaa Hawai’? Our March issue is a tribute to this loving lady who will forever be in our hearts. She dons our cover for the last time, once again looking as graceful and elegant as always.
Moving on, in People in Focus we have two women—Kavita Bhartia and Vanshika Choudhary—both from the fashion industry, who each have a distinctive style. While Kavita caters to the ethnic and Indo-western segment of clothing for women, Vanshika’s garments are truly western.
Several researches show that women live longer than men, but they’re also more susceptible to health issues, more commonly relating to the heart. Our Mind & Body this month talks about how women can prevent coronary artery diseases and keep their heart healthy.
